The Atkinson Scholarship Program Guidelines
Investing in the Potential of Young People

The Atkinson Scholarship Program was established in 1995 to recognize local students with financial need, academic promise and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society.

To be eligible for the Atkinson Scholarship Program, an applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is:

  • A Sudbury resident or the dependent of a Sudbury resident; or
  • Enrolled at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School (LSRHS): or
  • The dependent of a full-time Town of Sudbury or LSRHS employee.

Course grades, standardized test scores, involvement in school and community activities, work experience, letters of recommendation and a written essay are considered in the recipient selection process. Up to 15 new, $5,000 awards are made each year. Recipients may reapply for aid annually during their undergraduate education.
