Environmental Grants awarded in 2007
Fisheries Grants
 Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen’s Assn., Chatham, MA $25,000
  To support the initial development of a Cape Cod Sustainable Fisheries Trust, which will buy and then sell fishing permits to local fishermen at below-market rates in return for a promise to adhere to a series of sustainable practices.
   
Northern Forest Grants
 American Chestnut Foundation, Bennington, VT $20,000
  Continued support of ACF’s work to restore the American chestnut tree in Maine, NH and Vermont.
   
 Hubbard Brook Research Foundation Hanover, NH $15,000
 

Continued support for the Science Links Project which enhances the flow of information between scientists and policy makers as a way of promoting scientifically-sound environmental policy in the Northern Forest region and beyond.
   
 Northern Forest Alliance, Stowe, VT $20,000
  To work with residents and leaders in four Northern Forest communities to develop and implement a “community and conservation” vision to protect forestland and promote economic and community health.
   
 Northern Forest Center, Concord, NH $50,000
  For continued efforts to build a public consensus to conserve and enhance the cultural, civic, economic and ecological health of the Northern Forest.
